The Roscongress Foundation is a socially oriented non-financial development institution and a major organizer of nationwide and international conventions; exhibitions; and business, public, youth, sporting, and cultural events. It was established in pursuance of a decision by the President of the Russian Federation.

The Foundation was established in 2007 with the aim of facilitating the development of Russia’s economic potential, promoting its national interests, and strengthening the country’s image. One of the roles of the Foundation is to comprehensively evaluate, analyse, and cover issues on the Russian and global economic agendas. It also offers administrative services, provides promotional support for business projects and attracting investment, helps foster social entrepreneurship and charitable initiatives.

Each year, the Foundation’s events draw participants from 209 countries and territories, with more than 15,000 media representatives working on-site at Roscongress’ various venues. The Foundation benefits from analytical and professional expertise provided by 5,000 people working in Russia and abroad.

The Foundation works alongside various UN departments and other international organizations, and is building multi-format cooperation with 212 economic partners, including industrialists’ and entrepreneurs’ unions, financial, trade, and business associations from 86 countries worldwide, and 293 Russian public organizations, federal and regional executive and legislative bodies of the Russian Federation.

Biography
Born July 14, 1967.

1991: graduated from Moscow State University, Department of Mechanics and Mathematics.

2004: completed an MBA programme at the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration.

2016: completed a programme at the Institute of Directors, UK, and got a Dip IoD degree.

1994–2000: worked for Aeroflot Bank, Tokobank and Avtobank, rising from dealer to Deputy Head of Treasury.

2000–2009: held the position of Head of Financial Markets Department at MDM Bank.

2009: joined Otkrytie Bank as Chairman of the Management Board. His objective was to merge four banks, develop all areas of activity of the new unified bank and help it join the 30 top credit institutions in Russia. All those objectives were successfully achieved.

2014: Head of the National Foreign Exchange Association. In 2015, he reorganized it by merging it with the National Fund Association.

2016: joined the National Financial Association as a candidate for President of the NFA. His objective is to develop the NFA actively under the new conditions of the financial market and its self-management.
