The Roscongress Foundation is a socially oriented non-financial development institution and a major organizer of nationwide and international conventions; exhibitions; and business, public, youth, sporting, and cultural events. It was established in pursuance of a decision by the President of the Russian Federation.

The Foundation was established in 2007 with the aim of facilitating the development of Russia’s economic potential, promoting its national interests, and strengthening the country’s image. One of the roles of the Foundation is to comprehensively evaluate, analyse, and cover issues on the Russian and global economic agendas. It also offers administrative services, provides promotional support for business projects and attracting investment, helps foster social entrepreneurship and charitable initiatives.

Each year, the Foundation’s events draw participants from 209 countries and territories, with more than 15,000 media representatives working on-site at Roscongress’ various venues. The Foundation benefits from analytical and professional expertise provided by 5,000 people working in Russia and abroad.

The Foundation works alongside various UN departments and other international organizations, and is building multi-format cooperation with 212 economic partners, including industrialists’ and entrepreneurs’ unions, financial, trade, and business associations from 86 countries worldwide, and 293 Russian public organizations, federal and regional executive and legislative bodies of the Russian Federation.

Biography
Mikhaleva Liudmila Mikhailovna (born 23.09.1962) in 1985 graduated from the 2nd Medical Faculty of the 1st Sechenov Moscow Medical Institute, then entered the pathology residency, and in 1987 postgraduate course in pathology at the Research Institute of Human Morphology. In 1991, she defended her candidate's dissertation, and in 1998 doctoral dissertation. From 1991 to the present L. M. Mikhaleva has been working at the Research Institute of Human Morphology: first as a junior, then as a senior researcher at the Laboratory of Environmental and Geographical Pathology, and then as the head of the Laboratory of clinical morphology. On 15 February 2019, L. M. Mikhaleva was appointed Director of the FSBSI Research Institute of Human Morphology, now named "Avtsyn Research Institute of Human Morphology of Federal state budgetary scientific institution "Petrovsky National Research Centre of Surgery". L. M. Mikhaleva has been working in practical healthcare since 1991 till present tim, being the head of the pathology department of City Clinical Hospital No. 31 named after academician G.M. Savelyeva. In 2004, L. M. Mikhaleva was awarded the academic title of professor in the speciality of pathology. L. M. Mikhaleva is the author of 553 scientific works, scientific supervisor and consultant of 35 doctoral and candidate dissertations. L. M. Mikhaleva combines her practical and scientific activity with teaching, working as a professor at the Department of Pathology at Russian Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education. In 2022 she was elected a corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences from the Department of Medical Sciences, in the same year she was awarded the title of Honoured Scientist of the Russian Federation.
