The Roscongress Foundation is a socially oriented non-financial development institution and a major organizer of nationwide and international conventions; exhibitions; and business, public, youth, sporting, and cultural events. It was established in pursuance of a decision by the President of the Russian Federation.

The Foundation was established in 2007 with the aim of facilitating the development of Russia’s economic potential, promoting its national interests, and strengthening the country’s image. One of the roles of the Foundation is to comprehensively evaluate, analyse, and cover issues on the Russian and global economic agendas. It also offers administrative services, provides promotional support for business projects and attracting investment, helps foster social entrepreneurship and charitable initiatives.

Each year, the Foundation’s events draw participants from 209 countries and territories, with more than 15,000 media representatives working on-site at Roscongress’ various venues. The Foundation benefits from analytical and professional expertise provided by 5,000 people working in Russia and abroad.

The Foundation works alongside various UN departments and other international organizations, and is building multi-format cooperation with 212 economic partners, including industrialists’ and entrepreneurs’ unions, financial, trade, and business associations from 86 countries worldwide, and 293 Russian public organizations, federal and regional executive and legislative bodies of the Russian Federation.

Biography
Apolikhin O.I. is a graduate of Voronezh State Medical Institute and has received his MD from the Scientific Research Institute of urology of the Health Ministry of Russia. He extended his education with several abroad trainings: Medical Technical University (ACTIM) France, Medical and Economic faculty, course in health care economics and new technologies and modern equipment utilization. Oxford University (England), MBA faculty, course in medical ethics and administrative law in health care. Oxford University (England), course in evidence based medicine. Professor Apolikhin is actively involved in state health care structure being chief specialist in Reproductive Health of the Ministry of Health Care of Russia. He systematically holds scientific, organizational and methodical activity in reproductive health in Russian regions. Professor Apolikhin has been recognized nationally and internationally through his international memberships which include European Urological Association, American Urological Association and Royal Society of Medicine (UK). He studied Administrative ethical issues in health care at Oxford University, where he also received MSc in evidence-based health care. Professor Apolikhin holds editorial positions on several well-respected journals, including Russian Journal of Urology. He has authored and co-authored more than 500 articles, edited and co-edited 10 books, has multiple multimedia presentations to his credit. His extensive experience in the field of urology and andrology has afforded him the opportunity to participate in academic activities, meetings and courses as a speaker and chairperson. Fields of his interest are postgraduate medical education upgrading, modernization of Russian health care system, men’s health evaluation and management.
