The Roscongress Foundation is a socially oriented non-financial development institution and a major organizer of nationwide and international conventions; exhibitions; and business, public, youth, sporting, and cultural events. It was established in pursuance of a decision by the President of the Russian Federation.

The Foundation was established in 2007 with the aim of facilitating the development of Russia’s economic potential, promoting its national interests, and strengthening the country’s image. One of the roles of the Foundation is to comprehensively evaluate, analyse, and cover issues on the Russian and global economic agendas. It also offers administrative services, provides promotional support for business projects and attracting investment, helps foster social entrepreneurship and charitable initiatives.

Each year, the Foundation’s events draw participants from 209 countries and territories, with more than 15,000 media representatives working on-site at Roscongress’ various venues. The Foundation benefits from analytical and professional expertise provided by 5,000 people working in Russia and abroad.

The Foundation works alongside various UN departments and other international organizations, and is building multi-format cooperation with 212 economic partners, including industrialists’ and entrepreneurs’ unions, financial, trade, and business associations from 86 countries worldwide, and 293 Russian public organizations, federal and regional executive and legislative bodies of the Russian Federation.

Denis Tikhonov was born in September 9, 1977 in the town of Aleksin, Tula region.
Graduated from Tula State University, Department of Economics and Department of Cybernetics.
Until 2007 he held the post of Deputy Head for Economics and Finance of Aleksinsky District.
From 2007 to 2013 Director of the Economic Development and Investment Department of the Tula Region Administration, Minister of Economic Development and Industry of the Tula Region.
From 2013 to December 2014 Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Tula Region.
Since January 2015 Investment Commissioner of the Government of the Tula Region.
In 2015 according to the National Rating of the Investment Climate in the Russian Regions — research conducted by the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI), the Tula Region was among the top 10 regions in the country with favorable conditions for business development.
In 2016-2019 — General Director of AO «Корпорация развития Дальнего Востока» (Korporatsia razvitiya Dalnego Vostoka / Corporation for the Development of the Far East).
March 11, 2019 he was appointed head of the Department of Economic Policy and Development of the city of Moscow.
