The Roscongress Foundation is a socially oriented non-financial development institution and a major organizer of nationwide and international conventions; exhibitions; and business, public, youth, sporting, and cultural events. It was established in pursuance of a decision by the President of the Russian Federation.

The Foundation was established in 2007 with the aim of facilitating the development of Russia’s economic potential, promoting its national interests, and strengthening the country’s image. One of the roles of the Foundation is to comprehensively evaluate, analyse, and cover issues on the Russian and global economic agendas. It also offers administrative services, provides promotional support for business projects and attracting investment, helps foster social entrepreneurship and charitable initiatives.

Each year, the Foundation’s events draw participants from 209 countries and territories, with more than 15,000 media representatives working on-site at Roscongress’ various venues. The Foundation benefits from analytical and professional expertise provided by 5,000 people working in Russia and abroad.

The Foundation works alongside various UN departments and other international organizations, and is building multi-format cooperation with 212 economic partners, including industrialists’ and entrepreneurs’ unions, financial, trade, and business associations from 86 countries worldwide, and 293 Russian public organizations, federal and regional executive and legislative bodies of the Russian Federation.

Biography
Reko-Antti Suojanen (born in 1969, Naval Architect M.Sc.) has worked in a variety of marine and computer technology organizations. His roles in marine organizations have included concept designer, researcher, and management positions. In computer technology organizations, Mr. Suojanen worked as a CFD application specialist.

He began his career in 1996 at Kvaerner Masa-Yards Turku Shipyard, working as a hydrodynamicist and project engineer, and later served the Finnish IT center for science (CSC) under the auspices of the Ministry of Education. After that he joined the team at the Masa-Yards Arctic Research Centre (MARC), working as an arctic marine engineer and project manager. Mr. Suojanen has been involved in numerous arctic shipping projects, and joined the newly founded Aker Arctic Technology Inc at the beginning of 2005, where he was responsible for managing arctic consultation services, coordinating research and development, and managing larger client projects. Today he is the managing director of Aker Arctic Technology Inc.

He has also been published in international journals and given presentations at numerous international maritime conferences.
