The Roscongress Foundation is a socially oriented non-financial development institution and a major organizer of nationwide and international conventions; exhibitions; and business, public, youth, sporting, and cultural events. It was established in pursuance of a decision by the President of the Russian Federation.

The Foundation was established in 2007 with the aim of facilitating the development of Russia’s economic potential, promoting its national interests, and strengthening the country’s image. One of the roles of the Foundation is to comprehensively evaluate, analyse, and cover issues on the Russian and global economic agendas. It also offers administrative services, provides promotional support for business projects and attracting investment, helps foster social entrepreneurship and charitable initiatives.

Each year, the Foundation’s events draw participants from 209 countries and territories, with more than 15,000 media representatives working on-site at Roscongress’ various venues. The Foundation benefits from analytical and professional expertise provided by 5,000 people working in Russia and abroad.

The Foundation works alongside various UN departments and other international organizations, and is building multi-format cooperation with 212 economic partners, including industrialists’ and entrepreneurs’ unions, financial, trade, and business associations from 86 countries worldwide, and 293 Russian public organizations, federal and regional executive and legislative bodies of the Russian Federation.

Biography
The founder of Ketchum’s Moscow office, Michael is responsible for strategic development, general management of the firm coordinates international contacts, oversees corporate, and government affairs practice and advises several key clients, including Google, MasterCard and other companies. Prior to starting his agency in 1994 Michael worked as public relations coordinator at the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Moscow and before that was press secretary of the leading business school in Russia – International Business School, Moscow (IBS MGIMO). Michael is actively involved in developing the PR profession in Russia and the region. In 2003 – 2004 Maslov served as the Chairman of Russian Public Relations Consultancies Association (“AKOC”/ICCO – Russia) and represented Russia on the Board of ICCO. Maslov also was National Chair of International Public Relations Association (IPRA) in Russia from 2005 until 2009 and represented Russia on IPRA’s Council. He is an active member of the Russian Academy of Public Relations. Since 2017, Michael is a member of the Public Council of The Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology and Mass Media.

PhD in political science Michael graduated with honors from Moscow State University of International Relations and speaks English and Spanish.
