The Foundation was established in 2007 with the aim of facilitating the development of Russia’s economic potential, promoting its national interests, and strengthening the country’s image. One of the roles of the Foundation is to comprehensively evaluate, analyse, and cover issues on the Russian and global economic agendas. It also offers administrative services, provides promotional support for business projects and attracting investment, and helps foster social entrepreneurship and charitable initiatives.

Each year, the Foundation’s events draw participants from 208 countries and territories, with more than 15,000 media representatives working on-site at Roscongress’ various venues. The Foundation benefits from analytical and professional expertise provided by 5000 people working in Russia and abroad. In addition, it works in close cooperation with 126 economic partners; industrialists’ and entrepreneurs’ unions; and financial, trade, and business associations from 69 countries worldwide.

Biography
Petr Zhukov is Chairman, CEO and Founder of Indigo Capital Partners. Petr co-founded Indigo Capital, the Russian private equity fund in the beginning of 2011. By the end of 2015 Indigo invested about USD 80mln in Russian private medium-sized companies and approximately USD 20mln in technology companies around the world. Petr is also an active angel investor and co-founder of Endemic Capital, which invests globally in startups with big and disruptive ideas (Endemic`s portfolio consists of 15 companies in Russia, US and Europe and growing). Prior to co-founding Indigo Capital, Petr worked for 8 years in the investment banking divisions of UBS and Credit Suisse in Moscow, London and New York, and made his way up from analyst to vice-president in charge of 2 sectors. Petr began his career at Brunswick Capital investment fund, where he was involved in the creation of Brunswick Rail. Petr graduated with honors with a B.A. from the Higher School of Economics and holds a PhD in Economics. He speaks English and Spanish.
