Risks and Opportunities in a New Era for Stock Markets
Russian investors – retail ones, first of all – should be on an equal footing with foreign ones in terms of opportunities to participate in the most exciting deals on the market. <...> It seems very important to me that all market participants should ensure that Russian retail investors have the same opportunities to get good allocations in good deals, so that those investors make money, so that they have a positive experience, so that they are not only educated – albeit education is very important – so that they do not just learn it in theory but get initial positive experience from participation. <...> It is necessary to protect and cherish Russian investors, to help the newcomer retail investors evolve, so that they have a positive experience

Risks and Opportunities in a New Era for Stock Markets
Establishing equity capital in the earlier stages of business development: this is what may be lacking even more than a good number of public companies and access to the public capital markets. <...> The irony is that the very international funds would buy into a public company with great pleasure

Risks and Opportunities in a New Era for Stock Markets
Our stock market is entering into what I would call the third stage of its development, when dozens of tech companies will get stock exchange listings. They will attract a lot of interest from both institutional and retail investors. <...> We are definitely headed for an IPO boom. <...> One way or another, this will result in a certain number of security issuers from very different sectors, that will need access to equity capital. As we are practicing in this, our assessment is unambiguous: demand from international investors will not satisfy the need for capital raise <...> at the moment

Fathers and Sons: ESG Issues and the Generation Gap
The topic of ESG emerged three years ago as a controversial element, and now it has become a significant factor in terms of raising capital in a company, an investment multiplier, because more and more foreign investors include ESG in their investment analysis. Russian companies, including those involved in the natural resources segment, cannot but address this in their activities

Fathers and Sons: ESG Issues and the Generation Gap
Russian companies have a chance to stand out in terms of ESG. The G – corporate governance – has long been of great importance for Russian companies. Improved governance after the 1998 crisis played the role of an investment multiplier and had a huge effect. Adherence to ESG principles creates a basis for higher appreciation of Russian companies

The ESG Race for USD 30 Trillion of Investment is on
Of the three letters which we are discussing today, the most important one from the point of view of investors looking at new Russian companies is probably ‘G’

Economic Protectionism and Global Markets
Evidently, emerging markets as well as larger ones like Russia can no longer rely on Western capital markets. <...> The increase in restrictions changes the flow of funds <...> it dictates the need for each market <...> to create its own infrastructure, develop domestic capital markets at an accelerated pace

Betting on E-Commerce: The Winner Takes It All
We do not believe in the organic development of the e-commerce platform from within one institution located in the same sector, even if it is a very large banking institution like ours. It is the path of partnerships that is the path that we have chosen for ourselves. Why? Because the consumer wants a single window

Betting on E-Commerce: The Winner Takes It All
Logistics and delivery time and generally infrastructure in a broader sense — this is probably the main obstacle to the explosive growth of e-commerce, which, we all hope, will continue in Russia

Betting on E-Commerce: The Winner Takes It All
We announced that we will actively cooperate and finance the construction of a three-level logistics system. We have attracted about 340 billion roubles over the past 10 years into the development of various elements of Russia's infrastructure, while only 100 billion were our money, the rest is the money of our partners, including foreign ones
