The Roscongress Foundation is a socially oriented non-financial development institution and a major organizer of international conventions; exhibitions; and business, public, sporting, and cultural events. It was established in pursuance of a decision by the President of the Russian Federation.

The Foundation was established in 2007 with the aim of facilitating the development of Russia’s economic potential, promoting its national interests, and strengthening the country’s image. One of the roles of the Foundation is to comprehensively evaluate, analyse, and cover issues on the Russian and global economic agendas. It also offers administrative services, provides promotional support for business projects and attracting investment, helps foster social entrepreneurship and charitable initiatives.

Each year, the Foundation’s events draw participants from 208 countries and territories, with more than 15,000 media representatives working on-site at Roscongress’ various venues. The Foundation benefits from analytical and professional expertise provided by 5,000 people working in Russia and abroad.

The Foundation works alongside various UN departments and other international organizations, and is building multi-format cooperation with 165 economic partners, including industrialists’ and entrepreneurs’ unions, financial, trade, and business associations from 76 countries worldwide, and 154 Russian public organizations, federal and legislative agencies, and federal subjects.

Tobias Zech

Member of the German Parliament, Munich (Bundestag)
Tobias Josef Zech is a German politician of the Christian Social Union (CSU). He is a member of the German Bundestag since 2013, where he is in the Committee on Labour and Social Affairs and the Committee on Economic Cooperation. He is member of the German-Russian and the German-Central Asian Parliamentary Group in the German Bundestag.
Since 2002 he is a member of the Garching Municipal Council in Bavaria and in 2013 he was also elected as a member of the District Assembly of Alt?tting.
He is district chairman of Christian Social Union’s youth party (Junge Union) in Upper Bavaria, the largest youth party district group in Germany.
After having graduated high school, Zech enlisted in the German Army (Bundeswehr), where he served for eight years while simultaneously pursuing a degree in economics.
Since 2014 he is a member of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE). He is vice-chairman of the Group of the European People’s Party/Christian Democrats at PACE since 2016. There he is a rapporteur on «Promoting the inclusion of Roma and Travellers» of the Committee on Equality and Non-discrimination, and a rapporteur on «The situation in Lebanon and challenges for regional stability and European security» of the Committee on Political Affairs and Democracy.
