Youth and Education in the New Reality
We have seen new platforms and services emerge for the student community, and young people in general. <...> These give them the chance to make mistakes, understand them, and process them without incurring any major risks or losses themselves. Instead, they give students something to learn from. I think this represents a major step <...> or a foundation for making some changes going forward. We are not just talking about digital technology <...> but about the ability to play a full role, and about services which are being offered to young people which allow them to choose their own path with minimal personal loss and costs

Youth and Education in the New Reality
We are seeing new products that don’t merely aim to replicate the offline world, i.e., by streaming an event, to give a crude example. What we are seeing are new connecting elements that we have been sorely lacking. Of course, at this stage we cannot replace things like in-person networking, communication, and basic human interaction. Indeed, universities and other educational platforms exist largely for this very purpose. However, at the same time, we realize that a large number of interesting products are coming to the market which could have an extremely beneficial application in education

Youth and Education in the New Reality
Student-centric education is a trend. This is when the student plays a genuine and full role in their education, together with their university and government bodies. As we speak, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education is working to implement and improve this model. A great deal has already been done in this area

Involving Young People in the EAEU Activities and Processes
What do we need to be and how should the academic mobility programme be diversified to make it more attractive? I got the idea of making some modules. The first is to visit several countries at once. The second is to add some professional educational career guidance seminars, meetings, and workshops, and the third is to make cultural visits, take excursions, and do something else with the peculiarities of national culture. I think this would also be interesting and would fit in correctly

New Time for Diplomacy
The university is both a breeding ground for Russian diplomats and a university for the Russian Foreign Ministry. We are faced with the need to maintain both of these statuses and, of course, to increase our efforts in the area of international cooperation, and we have begun to take certain steps. Starting with the most obvious: in the spring of this year, we held, all in all, more than 50 meetings with schoolchildren from five countries, mainly from former Soviet republics, and talked directly with 5,000 of our potential foreign applicants. Our delegation travelled to several countries, where they spoke, discussing MGIMO University and its opportunities directly with our potential applicants, schoolchildren in grades 10–11 ... This, in combination with other tools, produced a good result – this year we recruited more than 350 foreign students, this is a figure that is not only in no way inferior to the numbers of foreign citizens of previous years, but even surpasses it in some areas
