Quantum Technologies and the Economy of Tomorrow
For some reason, I believe that these waves are entirely different. Basically, the first successful quantum revolution does not necessarily indicate the second one will be successful. I think that optimists – I am one of them – believe in the good outcome of the second quantum revolution based on currently available knowledge and expectations of the potential effect instead of merely the results of the first ones. <…> We expect that some tasks may end up getting million-fold improvement. <…> When it comes to industries, the time between fundamental research and commercial production may vary. Digital Sovereignty and Cybersecurity
State corporations have been focusing intently on what was initially called ‘import substitution’ for a good number of years now. Now it’s being called ‘moving towards technological independence’, and some practice has already been accumulated in this area. For one thing, it has already become clear that the issue is far more all-encompassing and complex than it appeared a few years ago. <...> Technological independence <...> does not just mean using products which exist independently from the world, but also ensuring that the product in question is genuinely world class,
