The Electric Power Industry in the Changing Times
Residential tariffs [are regulated, – Ed.] by the government. The principle of cross-regulation is still used to keep the tariffs below the inflation rate. In concerns consumers, investors, and small and medium businesses that intend to join the federal grid and do not increase the net supply in their territory. It drives the tariffs up at the low voltage level. It is an eternal fight, which needs to be over

The Electric Power Industry in the Changing Times
Our consumers should not be concerned about the condition of our electric power industry. There is nothing to be concerned about the preparation for the autumn and winter or about the fuel inventory, water resources, or repairs. Energy consumption is rising. As of today, the growth rate is 2.5%. This consumption growth in ensured by an adequate energy generation level. We keep working and closely watch all the global trends

Final session ‘Energy of Youth Initiatives 2022’
It’s actually young people, talented young people, who have participated and triumphed in the competitions and are brimming full of ambition. This provides a solid foundation for developing our energy sector and ultimately training the next generation of energy leaders

Russia–India Business Dialogue
Levels of trade and trade volumes between the countries are currently very low, including in the fuel and energy sector. What exists today represents a fraction of the total demand of a country like India, and this isn’t enough. We must therefore step up our cooperation, establishing relations between companies, and focusing not so much on the signing of declarations and agreements as the development of specific projects

Russia–India Business Dialogue
We advocate a balanced approach to the use of traditional and renewable energy sources. I believe that this position is supported by our partners in India, among others. The ‘green’ agenda is being discussed at the highest level, and hydrogen production is becoming a long-term policy priority. We support this drive and are willing to cooperate in all areas

Challenges and Opportunities for the Global Power Sector in a New Era
The system is becoming more complex. We not only have to manage the grid, but generation as well. Since it’s more complex, it’s impossible to manage the power system in the old-fashioned way. So, we need to use digital technologies to improve the reliability of management

Challenges and Opportunities for the Global Power Sector in a New Era
There is no adequacy. We need to think about microgeneration, about a large power system, and about the stability of the country’s power system […] When the volume of renewable energy sources is small, no one notices [possible losses], but large volumes will create problems

Challenges and Opportunities for the Global Power Sector in a New Era
Mass grid construction is needed to integrate large volumes of renewable energy sources into the energy system. Estimates show that the volume of construction should be twice as much by 2040 as that built over the past 130 years in the networks

Challenges and Opportunities for the Global Power Sector in a New Era
Of course, nuclear power plants are a priority because we need to use the scientific and technological potential that has been accumulated in nuclear energy. I think that hydropower should be of priority importance considering the resources that we have in the country today

Housing, Utilities, and the Urban Environment: Effective Investments
Probably there is no other way, other than applying an alternative boiling method for heat supply systems. It allows both us and pretty much any investor, to invest in the development of heat supply systems, or heat transmission systems, or loss reduction, as long as they clearly understand that the regulator does not intervene anymore, setting the tariff below the limit once with a reduction factor. Further on, this is the concern of the unified heat supply organization, which is us in most regions, and this is the real area that we support today

Housing, Utilities, and the Urban Environment: Effective Investments
In the Far East, there has always been a problem with attracting investors. Investors always look at how they can return their investments. In the Far East, it is absolutely or practically impossible to return the investments made in case of 100% tariff regulation. The investment component of the tariff, which is absolutely small and limited by the maximum growth of the tariff or the maximum growth of citizens' fees, does not allow investing
