International Energy Organization Dialogue: Predicting the Development of Energy and Global Markets
Recovery is proceeding very unevenly following the pandemic. We have encountered unusual weather conditions in Europe. Markets that were previously divided are now converging, and flows are being redistributed. In this complex environment, prices remain a very important indicator. Prices are breaking new records, which is not good for energy of the future. We need stability. And we need predictability

International Energy Organization Dialogue: Predicting the Development of Energy and Global Markets
The energy transition is definitely gaining momentum. And this is happening all over the world. We can see that the climate change agenda, the development of new technologies and their accelerated introduction, the more active use of renewable energy sources, and the emergence of new energy carriers are becoming increasingly relevant everywhere. These are all trends that are shaping the current energy agenda. Despite the pandemic, 2020 has set a number of defining trends for the future. On the one hand, we can see that electricity generation from renewable energy sources is being used more actively. It has reached record levels. We can also see that the political agenda is now gaining momentum. To date, some 50 countries, including EU nations, have declared their goal of achieving zero emissions in the foreseeable future

The Value and Values of the Greater Eurasian Partnership
A lot has been said about transportation infrastructure. If you use land routes from Norway to Chongqing, China through Russia and Kazakhstan, it takes 15 days on a sea route, which is three times longer than on land. This is proven by the increase in cargo travelling on this route

The Value and Values of the Greater Eurasian Partnership
There is an unpleasant and even painful fact still. Work today does not take the place in this process that we would like it to take. Nonetheless, there is hope and there are areas of growth. Even though geographically Europe is far away from the Pacific region and the Russian Far East, in people’s minds it is close because investment projects are being carried out. We plan to expand this work

Interaction Between Government, Business and Public: What the Pandemic Has Changed
The digitalization of public services has notably developed in interaction between state, business and society. I believe that this process will only gain pace. In this respect Russia, and we are happy to say this, occupies a leading position even in relation to Europe, where the level of digitalization of tax and other services is lower than that of the Federal Tax Service of Russia,

Interaction Between Government, Business and Public: What the Pandemic Has Changed
Not only the beginning of the crisis and its consequences, but also the recovery process has significantly varied across countries. Russia did relatively well. Also in Europe, there are countries like Germany that survived the crisis relatively well, and there are countries that are still in deep crisis,

Interaction Between Government, Business and Public: What the Pandemic Has Changed
We can see three global trends in changing relationships between state, business and society in a broader sense. First, during the pandemic <…> we saw a significant strengthening of the role of the state. Second, which is related to the first, the state is experiencing much more new influences,

The Future of Russia’s Tax System: Stepping Up to the Challenge
As a foreign business, we saw support last year. We support the need to fight tax evasion. A real balance needs to be achieved so that the interests of ‘white’ business are taken into account [...] We need to find an answer to the question of how to support the fine-tuning of the tax system and support the process of the ‘beautification’ of the economy so that it is as efficient as possible and less costly [...] The use of digital technologies helps us preserve what has been achieved, while simultaneously combatting evasion or abuse
