Andrey Shemetov graduated from the State Academy of Management. Ordzhonikidze with a degree in Economics and Management. He is a graduate of the Yale School of Management.
He has 25 years of experience in securities management in investment companies and large Russian banks. From 2008 to November 2012 he worked as the CEO of Aton, and from 2012 to 2016 he served as Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Moscow Exchange.
In 2016, Andrey was invited to work at Sberbank as Vice President of the Bank, Head of the Department of Global Markets. In November 2020, he was appointed Senior Vice President of the Corporate and Investment Business unit, in his new position he began to oversee the areas of global markets, the depository, work with key clients and the investment business.
In 2009, Andrey Shemetov received the Person of the Year award in the Investment Banker category, and in 2012 he became the winner of the Ernst & Young international competition. In 2015, Andrey became a laureate of the Top 1000 Russian Managers award in the Best Commercial Director nomination, presented by the Association of Russian Managers.
