As with the majority of personnel in the Prime Minister’s Performance Management And Delivery Unit (PEMANDU), Chris seeks to contribute his experience of corporate best practices to Malaysia’s National Transformation Program. He joined the government in 2007, to drive the Manufacturing Industry Roadmap for the Northern Corridor Economic Region (NCER), after working for 20 years at various locations of Intel Corporation around the world. With the launch of Malaysia’s Economic Transformation Program (ETP) in 2010, he was recruited as the Director for the Electrical & Electronics and Innovation National Key Economic Area (NKEA) for which he had previously served as its “lab leader”. In 2012, Chris successfully led PEMANDU’s pioneer initiative to transfer PEMANDU’s transformation methodology to the Republic of Tanzania. The technology transfer program has since expanded to several other African, Middle East and South Asian states. Chris is now a leading member of a dedicated team dedicated to sharing PEMANDU’s best practices to governments and corporations worldwide interested in #DrivingTransformation.
