The Roscongress Foundation is a socially oriented non-financial development institution and a major organizer of nationwide and international conventions; exhibitions; and business, public, youth, sporting, and cultural events. It was established in pursuance of a decision by the President of the Russian Federation.

The Foundation was established in 2007 with the aim of facilitating the development of Russia’s economic potential, promoting its national interests, and strengthening the country’s image. One of the roles of the Foundation is to comprehensively evaluate, analyse, and cover issues on the Russian and global economic agendas. It also offers administrative services, provides promotional support for business projects and attracting investment, helps foster social entrepreneurship and charitable initiatives.

Each year, the Foundation’s events draw participants from 208 countries and territories, with more than 15,000 media representatives working on-site at Roscongress’ various venues. The Foundation benefits from analytical and professional expertise provided by 5,000 people working in Russia and abroad.

The Foundation works alongside various UN departments and other international organizations, and is building multi-format cooperation with 173 economic partners, including industrialists’ and entrepreneurs’ unions, financial, trade, and business associations from 78 countries worldwide, and 179 Russian public organizations, federal and legislative agencies, and federal subjects.

Biography
Liza Savina - curator, producer. She graduated from the St. Petersburg Humanitarian University of Trade Unions with a degree in art-marketing. She began her career as a curator in the mid-2000s at the Ars Magna photo gallery, quickly establishing herself as one of the most active representatives of the Russian art scene. In 2009 she became the managing partner of the AL Gallery of contemporary art. In 2013 she founded the SPARTA Curatorial Agency, and in 2014 she was included in the Top 100 main people in Russian art according to The Art Newspaper Russia.



Since 2017, Liza Savina has been focusing on curatorial and educational projects. She teaches art management at the RMA Business School in Moscow, and the Masters School in St. Petersburg, in 2017/2018 she supervises the educational program of the special project of the 4th Ural Industrial Biennale of Contemporary Art (Tyumen, Russia).



In 2017, Liza Savina co-founded the Sparta Foundation for Cultural Initiatives. In 2018, the foundation launched the Smart Urban platform, which develops initiatives in the field of culture and urban studies, and also integrates cultural projects into city marketing strategies. In 2019 Liza Savina became the curator and producer of the New Cultural Geography city project in St. Petersburg.

In 2019, Savina curated the Sounds of the Perfect Past project at the Museum of the History of Vietnam in Hanoi, organized by the Sparta Foundation for Cultural Initiatives in cooperation with the 21st Century Hermitage Foundation, Gazprom International and the State Hermitage Museum. In 2020, Savina acted as a producer of the project “Measure of Chaos. Science as a Way of Communication” (St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk) within the framework of the international program Museum 15/24, implemented by the State Hermitage Museum and the Hermitage XXI Century Foundation.

In 2021, she led the project of development of the Science Quarter together with Deputy President of the Russian Academy of Sciences S.V. Lyulin. In 2020-2021 the team of Sparta Foundation created and tested the methodology for creative design labs as the new practice for young talents.
