The Roscongress Foundation is a socially oriented non-financial development institution and a major organizer of nationwide and international conventions; exhibitions; and business, public, youth, sporting, and cultural events. It was established in pursuance of a decision by the President of the Russian Federation.

The Foundation was established in 2007 with the aim of facilitating the development of Russia’s economic potential, promoting its national interests, and strengthening the country’s image. One of the roles of the Foundation is to comprehensively evaluate, analyse, and cover issues on the Russian and global economic agendas. It also offers administrative services, provides promotional support for business projects and attracting investment, helps foster social entrepreneurship and charitable initiatives.

Each year, the Foundation’s events draw participants from 208 countries and territories, with more than 15,000 media representatives working on-site at Roscongress’ various venues. The Foundation benefits from analytical and professional expertise provided by 5,000 people working in Russia and abroad.

The Foundation works alongside various UN departments and other international organizations, and is building multi-format cooperation with 173 economic partners, including industrialists’ and entrepreneurs’ unions, financial, trade, and business associations from 78 countries worldwide, and 188 Russian public organizations, federal and legislative agencies, and federal subjects.

Biography
Romanovskaya Anna is a Director of the Ya.A. Izrael Institute of Global Climate and Ecology (IGCE). In 1995 she graduated from the biological and chemical faculty of the Moscow State Pedagogical University named after V. I. Lenin with honors. Obtained her Ph.D. in 2000 and degree of Doctor of Sciences (Biology) in 2008 for research of greenhouse gas emissions and removals in agriculture, forestry and land use change of Russia. Since 2000 works in the IGCE in the positions of leading engineer, scientific researcher, leading scientific researcher, head of laboratory, head of Department, Deputy Director, Director since 2017. In 2006 he was awarded the title of Senior Researcher. Since 2012 he has been a Corresponding member of the Russian Ecological Academy. She participated in the Intergovernmental Panel of Climate Change and acted as a Lead Author of the Fifth Assessment Report of IPCC, Working Group III, chapter 11 “Agriculture, Forestry and Other Land Use (AFOLU)”. She is also involved in the climate change international negotiations under UNFCCC for last 10 years. In 2016 Romanovskaya has been elected to the Corresponding member of the Russian academy of Sciences. Published more of 90 scientific publications.
