The Roscongress Foundation is a socially oriented non-financial development institution and a major organizer of international conventions; exhibitions; and business, public, sporting, and cultural events. It was established in pursuance of a decision by the President of the Russian Federation.

The Foundation was established in 2007 with the aim of facilitating the development of Russia’s economic potential, promoting its national interests, and strengthening the country’s image. One of the roles of the Foundation is to comprehensively evaluate, analyse, and cover issues on the Russian and global economic agendas. It also offers administrative services, provides promotional support for business projects and attracting investment, and helps foster social entrepreneurship and charitable initiatives.

Each year, the Foundation’s events draw participants from 208 countries and territories, with more than 15,000 media representatives working on-site at Roscongress’ various venues. The Foundation benefits from analytical and professional expertise provided by 5000 people working in Russia and abroad. In addition, it works in close cooperation with 160 economic partners; industrialists’ and entrepreneurs’ unions; and financial, trade, and business associations from 75 countries worldwide.

Filip Perkon is the founder of the Russian Film Week Festival and the Golden Unicorn Awards. He has produced many events, including the BG60 concert at the Royal Albert Hall (becoming the youngest concert promoter of the venue), Russian Business Week at the London School of Economics (LSE) and the international part of the Open Innovations Forum in Moscow. He combines his production work with investing in start-ups as a business angel, focusing on B2B companies in the UK and the USA. He founded marketing company 3D Line, a communication agency for the promotion of Russian projects abroad.

Filip graduated from the London School of Economics and launched his career at the investment bank BNP Paribas, and then at the Synergy Innovations Venture Fund. He was previously a public figure, co-founded the Russian European Youth Alliance under the European Parliament, the Youth Congress of Compatriots, and headed the Association of Students of the CIS countries in the UK.

He received a diploma of the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the UK for his contribution to the development of intercultural relations.
