Creative Industries: How Not to Get Lost in the World of the Future?
We can see an increase in funding, from the Presidential Grants Fund, the new Cultural Initiatives Fund, and the Internet Development Institute, which has already invested three times more in content creation than the Cinema Fund. <...> This is public money that was allocated according to the decisions of the President of Russia. In this case, we are not even reactively looking at the situation, but proactively – all these institutions have already been created, they are just now increasing the amount of funding, which will definitely help the leaders of Russian creative industries

Creative Industries: How Not to Get Lost in the World of the Future?
In the creative industries, there are A huge number of new professions appear in the creative industries... Mixed reality designer is one example. The direct answer to the question of how soon human capital will replace petroleum is that human capital replaced it long ago. The president talks about this, and members of the government constantly talk about it: it is not natural resources, not oil and gas that are important in Russia, but people – this is the most important capital in our country

What Will Russia Come up with Next?
Government institutions supporting creative industries are going through the same transformation. We are moving away from the initial intent – ‘let’s support creative industries in general’ – to a segmented approach. This is probably just the logic of life: what develops better should get support from the government. It is the paths that people actually walk should get paved

What Will Russia Come up with Next?
This is the crisis of the genre, as the film people are abandoning feature film for Internet formats. It only seems that bloggers with millions of followers are just making home videos.   Actually, it is staff and professional producers and authors who make it work. There is a beautiful set-up; then it gets filmed. There’s a good light and high-quality production. This is why it get millions of views. This is the fee and the ticket to it. The government also understands that one needs to pay for this
