The Roscongress Foundation is a socially oriented non-financial development institution and a major organizer of international conventions; exhibitions; and business, public, sporting, and cultural events. It was established in pursuance of a decision by the President of the Russian Federation.

The Foundation was established in 2007 with the aim of facilitating the development of Russia’s economic potential, promoting its national interests, and strengthening the country’s image. One of the roles of the Foundation is to comprehensively evaluate, analyse, and cover issues on the Russian and global economic agendas. It also offers administrative services, provides promotional support for business projects and attracting investment, and helps foster social entrepreneurship and charitable initiatives.

Each year, the Foundation’s events draw participants from 208 countries and territories, with more than 15,000 media representatives working on-site at Roscongress’ various venues. The Foundation benefits from analytical and professional expertise provided by 5000 people working in Russia and abroad. In addition, it works in close cooperation with 160 economic partners; industrialists’ and entrepreneurs’ unions; and financial, trade, and business associations from 75 countries worldwide.

Sergey Minaev’s debut novel Dukhless (Soulless), released in 2006, became a CIS bestseller, selling a total of over 1 million copies. Soulless, the film based on the novel, was released in 2012 with Danila Kozlovsky playing the leading role. It earned RUB 161.2 million in the first weekend. Universal Pictures, the film’s distributor, noted that Soulless had recordbreaking initial revenue among Russian films.

He hosted the Saturday radio show Tantsy c volkami (Dances with Wolves) on Radio Mayak until 2011, for which he won a Radiomania 2010 award in the category ‘Talk Show Host’.

He hosted the shows Chestny ponedel’nik (Honest Monday) and Bol’shinstvo (Majority) on NTV, the political talk show Pravo znat’ (Right to Know) on TV Centre, and launched the internet show Minaev LIVE and the television channel Kontr TV.

He was appointed Editor-in-Chief of Esquire Magazine Russia in October 2016. In 2019, he launched a personal channel on YouTube, where he regularly posts news reviews and historical lectures.

From January to April 2021, the online platforms Wink and more.tv released a six-episode docuseries by Sergey Minaev called Devyanostye (The Nineties).
