The Roscongress Foundation is a socially oriented non-financial development institution and a major organizer of international conventions; exhibitions; and business, public, sporting, and cultural events. It was established in pursuance of a decision by the President of the Russian Federation.

The Foundation was established in 2007 with the aim of facilitating the development of Russia’s economic potential, promoting its national interests, and strengthening the country’s image. One of the roles of the Foundation is to comprehensively evaluate, analyse, and cover issues on the Russian and global economic agendas. It also offers administrative services, provides promotional support for business projects and attracting investment, and helps foster social entrepreneurship and charitable initiatives.

Each year, the Foundation’s events draw participants from 208 countries and territories, with more than 15,000 media representatives working on-site at Roscongress’ various venues. The Foundation benefits from analytical and professional expertise provided by 5000 people working in Russia and abroad. In addition, it works in close cooperation with 160 economic partners; industrialists’ and entrepreneurs’ unions; and financial, trade, and business associations from 75 countries worldwide.

Biography
Denis Matsuev has quickly established himself as one of the most prominent pianists of his generation, since his triumphant victory in the XI International Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow.

Denis Matsuev is a laureate of “Shostakovich’s Prize” in Music as well as the State Prize of Russian Federation in Literature and Arts. He also is a “People’s Artist of Russia”, Honorary Professor of the Moscow State University and UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador.

Mr. Matsuev’s performances in the most prestigious concert halls of the world are always an unfailing success and he appears regularly with world-famous orchestras and the world’s most prominent conductors.

He performed at the closing ceremony of the XXII Winter Olympic Games in Sochi in 2014.

Mr. Matsuev is the president of the “New Names” foundation and director of the Grand Piano Competition in Moscow and Astana Piano Passion Competition for young pianists. For many years Denis Matsuev has been the Artistic Director of the Sergei Rachmaninov Foundation. In 2021 he becomes the artistic director of renewed Rachmaninoff Competition in Moscow with three nominations: pianist, composer and conductor. In 2017 Denis Matsuev was awarded with State Order of Honour and got the Prize of the Government of the Russian Federation for “Stars on the Baikal” festival in Irkutsk. As the Ambassador of FIFA World Cup Russia Denis organized the unique globally broadcasted concert with participation of Valery Gergiev, Anna Netrebko, Placido Domingo and other stars of classical music at the Red Square in Moscow on 13th of June 2018. In 2019 Denis Matsuev was awarded with Lev Nikolaev Gold Medal for his significant contribution to education and popularization of science and culture.

Denis Matsuev was the Chairman of the jury for XVI International Tchaikovsky Competition in the piano category.

In 2021 ICMA awarded Denis Matsuev with the prize for Video Performance of the Rachmaninoff's Third concert with Riccardo Chailly and Lucerne Festival Orchestra.
