Schools of the Future. Where, How and What Will We Teach Our Children?
Since the level of decisions at the top is determined by the quality of data and the quality of decision-making from below, here we should probably talk about the need for preparation starting from the municipal level. <...> Believe me, the locals do not know and do not understand how to work with them [available support measures – Ed.]. <...> Everyone understands that it is necessary to reduce the level of this administrative burden. <…> [It is necessary – Ed.] that the construction of modern schools is accompanied by the creation of modern school management teams, because this is what is required at the moment

Training of Personnel with Specialized Secondary Education
There should be attractive support measures. And a tax deduction. Definitely yes. And large investors, they should be part of the Professionality project. We need to think about how to make it possible to go to consortiums and encourage them. Because, for example, in the tourism industry, I have a lot of employers who can potentially also be included in the project

Science and the Public: New Interaction Models
We have resources that we do not fully understand how to use. For example, one of our projects is balneology. Kamchatka is famous for the fact that we have a lot of thermal springs. But they have not been studied up to the end. It is clear that it is a huge potential for creating all kinds of rehabilitation centres... On the other hand, it is all kinds of recreational programmes, health resorts, and it is a contribution to the country’s economy. This is the very thing when scientific developments and research give a monetary value

Science and the Public: New Interaction Models
We have a quite an issue. For example, we now welcome about 250 thousand tourists every year. We understand that the ecosystem kind of copes. At the same time, there are fragile ecosystems – such as the Valley of Geysers and the Khalaktyrsky beach. If the projected and desired for us, increase of tourist flow by three times raises the question of how they will cope. The infrastructure needs to be created there to leave all this natural beauty untouched as it is now

Science and the Public: New Interaction Models
We have certain problems that we need to solve in the region. For example, technology of snow removal and de-icing is pressing for Kamchatka. I understand it is a very modest task for science. However, for a resident of the city that is covered with volcanic sand, when everything is thawing, the whole city in black streaks, it is a very significant problem

Ecosystem’s Legacy: Developing Youth Environmental Initiatives
Probably the most significant and important project for me – because it is connected to construction, and construction work is always important and critical – is, of course, a camp that we have to build and partially adapt based on the strategies proposed by Forum participants. Because this is primarily an opportunity to create a focal point where schoolchildren in the Kamchatka Territory, the Far East, and the whole of Russia can meet up, learn, and develop. And on the other hand, this is the point where we will also meet annually, because it has been decided that the Ecosystem Forum will become an annual event, and that we will have the opportunity to meet every year in Kamchatka

Ecosystem’s Legacy: Developing Youth Environmental Initiatives
We would like to position both the Ecosystem Forum and this event for young people who have gathered together here in Kamchatka in such a way that each participant understands that Kamchatka is not only a wonderful place, not only a beautiful place, but also somewhere where people can fulfil themselves. A place to come with your dream, with your project, and then see it in reality. And this is probably the most important philosophy that we have tried to convey to our participants

Sports in the Far East: Creating New Opportunities
The cost of construction [in the Far East – ed.] is around 30% higher than in the rest of Russia, and we are suffering because of it. We cannot use standard plans, because seismic factors, transport, and delivery of equipment must all be taken into account. In addition to major construction projects, we need modular constructions – they play a saving role in the harsh winter weather. We also need training programmes for coaches and instructors

Sports in the Far East: Creating New Opportunities
The line between sports, education, and leisure is being erased. If you now ask teenagers in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky what their favourite place is, they will say the Spartak stadium in the city centre. In the winter, the whole city descends to the Fatyanov [biathlon – ed.] complex. We need to move away from exclusively sporting facilities to multifunctional ones. Schools and villages not only need to have sports halls, but sports complexes where locals can go to. There are only a few of them at the moment

Anti-Crisis Guidelines: Where Can Personnel Be Found for Import Substitution and a Technological Breakthrough?
It seems to me that the most important thing is to accept the way things are and keep self-improving constantly. On the one hand, not everything is within a person's control, and you have to know your limitations and it becomes necessary to “Ask the Audience”. On the other hand, if I believe that tomorrow I can be a little better than today, it will give me the strength to accept the fact that today I might do something wrong, because I will always have a chance to continue it tomorrow
