The Roscongress Foundation is a socially oriented non-financial development institution and a major organizer of nationwide and international conventions; exhibitions; and business, public, youth, sporting, and cultural events. It was established in pursuance of a decision by the President of the Russian Federation.

The Foundation was established in 2007 with the aim of facilitating the development of Russia’s economic potential, promoting its national interests, and strengthening the country’s image. One of the roles of the Foundation is to comprehensively evaluate, analyse, and cover issues on the Russian and global economic agendas. It also offers administrative services, provides promotional support for business projects and attracting investment, helps foster social entrepreneurship and charitable initiatives.

Each year, the Foundation’s events draw participants from 208 countries and territories, with more than 15,000 media representatives working on-site at Roscongress’ various venues. The Foundation benefits from analytical and professional expertise provided by 5,000 people working in Russia and abroad.

The Foundation works alongside various UN departments and other international organizations, and is building multi-format cooperation with 173 economic partners, including industrialists’ and entrepreneurs’ unions, financial, trade, and business associations from 78 countries worldwide, and 188 Russian public organizations, federal and legislative agencies, and federal subjects.

Director, Russian Seasons
Alexei Nikolaevich Lebedev was born in 1986. His entire professional career, since 2009, has been related to cultural management and cultural events.

Since 2017 he has been the head of the international cultural project "Russian Seasons". In 2019, the project was awarded the top prize in the category "Best Festival 2019" in the prestigious international competition The Best Event Awards World.

From 2012 to 2014, he filled the position of deputy director at the Abramtsevo Museum-Reserve. From 2014 to 2015, he ran the Department of Military and Historical Heritage of the Russian Military Historical Society.

From 2016 to 2018, he was the General Director of the Federal State Budgetary Institution of Culture "Federal Directorate of Musical and Festival Programs "Roskoncert". Under his directorship, there've been more than 1,000 events, including the International Ballet and Choreography Competition, the Days of Slavic Script and Culture, and the All-Russian Music Competition.

He's the general producer of Stay Home with Russian Seasons - an online project that has become an immense cultural media library in Russia. The project started in 2020 and has collected more than 45 million views from dozens of countries. Became the winner in the category "Best Online Platform" of the All-Russian "Culture Online" Award, the winner of "ComNews Awards 2020: Digital Technology vs. COVID-19" in the category in the field of digital entertainment - "Best Online Concert during the Pandemic".

He's the general producer of the Discovering Russia with Russian Seasons video project. It's a series of video tours in English, prepared in collaboration with leading cultural institutions for foreign and Russian viewers. The total number of views reached more than 1.3 million.

Co-founder 'Innopraktika & Russian Seasons School' is an educational project that introduces foreign students of creative universities to Russia. The project was launched in 2020 and involved 25 students from 11 countries. In 2021 more than 350 applications from 44 countries were received.

The awards include a commendation from the Russian Federation President and Russian Federation Minister of Culture.
