Soviet and Russian architect, President of Russian Academy of Architecture and Construction, CEO of Stroitelstvo Research Center, JSC, Chief Architect of Moscow (1996 – 2012), member of the Russian Academy of Science, Professor at the International Architecture Academy. Awarded with the titles of People’s Architect and Merited Architect of the Russian Federation, Merited Construction Expert of Russia and Moscow.
Born on July 12, 1951 in Moscow. In 1974 Mr. Kuzmiun graduated from Moscow Architectural Institute.
In 1974-1991 Mr. Kuzmin was part of the Scientific Research and Design Institute for General Lay-Out, Moscow and occupied positions ranging from an architect to the Chief Institute Architect.
In 1991-1996 Alexander Kuzmin worked as the First Deputy to the Head of Architectural and Urban Planning Committee of Moscow (Mosckomarkhitektura) and as the Head of Chief Architectural and Planning Administration, Moscow.
Between September 1996 and July 2012 Mr. Kuzmin was the Head of Moskomarkhitektura, Chief Architect of Moscow.
October 2012 – Deputy CEO of Avtotor Holding.
Appointed by Federal Property Management Agency as the CEO of Stroitelstvo Research Center, JSC (Decree #127-r dated March 7, 2014).
In 2014 elected and approved by the Government as the President of the Russian Academy of Architecture and Construction.
