The Foundation was established in 2007 with the aim of facilitating the development of Russia’s economic potential, promoting its national interests, and strengthening the country’s image. One of the roles of the Foundation is to comprehensively evaluate, analyse, and cover issues on the Russian and global economic agendas. It also offers administrative services, provides promotional support for business projects and attracting investment, and helps foster social entrepreneurship and charitable initiatives.

Each year, the Foundation’s events draw participants from 208 countries and territories, with more than 15,000 media representatives working on-site at Roscongress’ various venues. The Foundation benefits from analytical and professional expertise provided by 5000 people working in Russia and abroad. In addition, it works in close cooperation with 131 economic partners; industrialists’ and entrepreneurs’ unions; and financial, trade, and business associations from 70 countries worldwide.

Biography
David Cruickshank has been Chairman of Deloitte’s global organization, Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited (DTTL), since June 2015. In 2007-2015, he served as both Chairman of Deloitte UK and as a member of the network’s Global Board. A partner in Deloitte UK since 1988, David has advised numerous international clients, including FTSE 100 companies, in diverse sectors.

Prior to 2007, David led Deloitte UK’s Tax practice for eight years. He was also a member of the UK firm’s Executive Group and the global network’s Tax Management Group. Since qualifying as a Chartered Accountant with the firm in 1982, he has specialized in international taxation. He holds a Business and Economics degree from the University of Edinburgh.

David is a co-chair of the World Economic Forum’s Partnering Against Corruption Initiative and a board member of the Social Progress Imperative. In the UK, he chairs the Board of Trustees of the Education and Employers Taskforce.
