The Foundation was established in 2007 with the aim of facilitating the development of Russia’s economic potential, promoting its national interests, and strengthening the country’s image. One of the roles of the Foundation is to comprehensively evaluate, analyse, and cover issues on the Russian and global economic agendas. It also offers administrative services, provides promotional support for business projects and attracting investment, and helps foster social entrepreneurship and charitable initiatives.

Each year, the Foundation’s events draw participants from 208 countries and territories, with more than 15,000 media representatives working on-site at Roscongress’ various venues. The Foundation benefits from analytical and professional expertise provided by 2,500 people working in Russia and abroad. In addition, it works in close cooperation with 122 economic partners; industrialists’ and entrepreneurs’ unions; and financial, trade, and business associations from 69 countries worldwide.

Biography
Petr Konyushenko is the CEO of AtomEnergoSbyt JSC and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Association of Guaranteed Suppliers and Power Sales Companies. He holds the title of ‘Honorary Power Engineer’ and has been awarded industry and departmental medals.

Born in 1975 in the Kaliningrad Region city of Pravdinsk, he graduated from Novosibirsk State Technical University in 1998 as an engineer with a specialization in power supplies and then earned a degree as a managing economist in the fuel and energy sector at the same university in 2003. He then underwent professional retraining at the Academy of National Economy under the Government of the Russian Federation. He is currently training under the DPA-Doctor of Public Administration senior management training programme at the Institute of Public Administration and Civil Service of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration.

Konyushenko has been working in the electric power industry since 1999 and has risen from a workshop foreman at the Magadanenergosbyt branch of Magadanenergo OJSC to the CEO of the power supply companies Penzaenergosbyt OJSC (2006–2010) and Tverenergosbyt OJSC (2010–2012). He has served as an adviser to the chairman of the board of NP Market Council since 2012. He was appointed CEO of AtomEnergoSbyt JSC in 2016.

He is married and has a son.
