Heinz Koller has occupied the post of Regional Director for Europe and Central Asia at the International Labour Organization (ILO) since 2014.
Mr. Koller started his career in European integration at the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs in 1990 and in 1993 joined the European Commission. Between 2000 and 2010, he was employed at the Representation of the Free State of Bavaria to the European Union.
In 2010, Mr. Koller was appointed Director General of the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs in Berlin, where he supervised Directorate of European and Global Employment and Social Policies. Part of his job was cooperation with the ILO.
Mr. Koller was a Sherpa at the G20 and made a significant contribution to the G20 employment agenda.
Heinz Koller obtained degrees in Law from the University of Regensburg and Augsburg University, majoring in European Law and Business Law.
