Boris Kim was born on July 18, 1963 in the Urgench city. Mr. Kim is one of the leading Russian entrepreneurs in the financial sector with more than 20 years of experience in the payment service industry. Currently, he holds the posts of Chairman of the Board of Directors of QIWI Group, Executive Director of FinTech Association.
Was a president of the group e-port, co-owner of the United System of Instant Payments (later converted to the QIWI Group) from 1999 to 2007. He headed the Committee on Payment Systems and Banking Instruments of the National Association of Electronic Commerce Participants (NAUET) from 2007 to 2012. Worked as an adviser to the Chairman of the Board of JSCIB "Zurich", was a member of the Board of Directors from 1996 to 1999. Was an adviser to the chairman of the board of the banking and financial group Zerich from 1999 to 2004. He was chairman of the board of the Private Bank from September 1993 to January 1999, . Mr. Kim served as CFO of TJ Collection (Russia) from 1993 to 1996.
Mr. Kim graduated from the M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University in 1985, majoring in Chemistry, the Russian Financial and Economic Institute in 1996, majoring in Finance and Credit, the Moscow Law Academy in 2000, specializing in Jurisprudence, M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University in 2004 on a specialty "Psychology" and the M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University in 2007 with a degree in Philosophy
