The Foundation was established in 2007 with the aim of facilitating the development of Russia’s economic potential, promoting its national interests, and strengthening the country’s image. One of the roles of the Foundation is to comprehensively evaluate, analyse, and cover issues on the Russian and global economic agendas. It also offers administrative services, provides promotional support for business projects and attracting investment, and helps foster social entrepreneurship and charitable initiatives.

Each year, the Foundation’s events draw participants from 208 countries and territories, with more than 15,000 media representatives working on-site at Roscongress’ various venues. The Foundation benefits from analytical and professional expertise provided by 2,500 people working in Russia and abroad. In addition, it works in close cooperation with 122 economic partners; industrialists’ and entrepreneurs’ unions; and financial, trade, and business associations from 69 countries worldwide.

Biography
Mr. Mohammad Hossain,for the past 29 years of his career, has been serving in different organizations in diverse high-profileposts He joined Power Cell as an Assistant Director in 1996. Consequently, he served as the Deputy Director and Director of Power Cell and played a noteworthy role in enhancing the capacity of the Power and Energy Division. He has alsosignificantly helped the Ministry of Power, Energy & Mineral Resources to take epoch-making decisions in power generation, transmission,and distribution and to prepare several acts, rules & regulations for spearheading the power sector development.At present, he is serving as the Director General of Power Cell since 2013.He successfully performed the responsibility as the general secretary of Engineers Institution of Bangladesh (EIB), a professional institute of engineers, Dhaka Center. In his career, he traveled to more than 25 countries around the world. Mr. Hossain is a member of the Bangladesh-India Joint Steering Committee (JSC) on the power sector and renewable energy cooperation of Bangladesh-India Joint Working Group. He is a member of the Governing Board of the SAARC Energy Center. At the same time, he is one of the members of the renewable energy D-8 Working Group, including the South Asia Regional Initiative / Energy Integration (SARI / EI) Policy and Legal Issue Task Force. He is also a member of UN-ESCAP's energy expert group.



Mr. Mohammad Hossain graduated from the Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology (BUET) and received an MBA from IBA, Universityof Dhaka. Later, he received a post-graduate diploma in Institutional and Human Resource Development (IHRD) from Denmark. He took part in various higher training in the power sector at home and abroad. He has presented papers in various seminars, workshops at national and international levels which are highly appreciated. Mr. Mohammad Hossain has published numerousarticles in different national and international journals and publications. In personal life, he is married. His wife is a Banker and blessed with two sons.
