Creative Far East: A Strategy for Creative Diversity
Both the website of the Presidential Grants Fund and the website of the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives already contain a huge database of cross-pollination ideas. These are the best practices that have been selected, financed by the government. You can see it for yourself: everything is public. You can look at neighbouring regions, or distant regions, or ideas that have been implemented and, if it suits the region, replicate them

Intangible Cultural Heritage of Russia: Economic Context
Three all-Russian marketplaces are financed by the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives to collect and place what people produce. There is also packaging, it matters but we pay disastrously little attention to it

Creative Industries: How Not to Get Lost in the World of the Future?
More than 3,000 projects have already been supported, they are being implemented in all regions. There will be 4.5 thousand projects totalling more than RUB 7.5 billion in September. Financing for next year is already clear – RUB 10 billion. <...> This means that representatives of the creative industries should take this form of state support very seriously. It is at least four or five waves of grants until the end of 2024, where you just need to want to make the journey. It is competitive, one in eight projects received the support

Creative Industries: How Not to Get Lost in the World of the Future?
There are events that a person who loves art cannot miss. For example, the first opera festival will be held in Sochi in August. This is going to be a grand event against the backdrop of Krasnaya Polyana. And people all over the world who love opera cannot miss this event. In this way, we are doing everything so that this cancel culture dissolves by itself

Made in the Arctic: Grants as a Driver of the Creative Economy in the North
If the work is organized in a strategic way at the regional level, then with each wave it will be possible to receive funds for further restoration. More events can then be held, and places that had fallen into disrepair can be further revitalized

Made in the Arctic: Grants as a Driver of the Creative Economy in the North
I know that there are regions where people cannot yet fulfil this objective for themselves. They cannot find a place for young people – a point where student teams could come together. Student teams are actually a massive asset for young people in Russia, and are genuinely engaged in some of the most crucial projects. This powerful resource should of course be considered when planning projects in your area

State, Business, Creative Industries – The Ecology of Global Public Culture
We all need to come together and accept that the ecological agenda is important and move in one direction together, and in fact we need to catch up with those who have already reached this point. [...] There are people who are ready, but they have to step up first

We are now talking about the need to educate children, though in fact we have a whole generation that has raised itself. […] We need to create the right conditions for them. [...] Those same containers near houses and various ecological infrastructure projects need to be implemented faster, because the children are ready for them now

The ecological agenda has grown so much over the past five years that it is now the thing you need to build your agenda on if you want to build an audience, and that includes for things related to politics

The Happy Economy: Public Initiatives for Regional Development
People are becoming motivated to live here, and we give creative people [the opportunity] to get funds to make their dreams come true. Now any creative person who has an idea can apply, convince experts and get a serious sum of money to fulfil their dreams. A person is engaged in creative activities that can be expanded, and when certain resources are obtained, it turns into a lifetime project

The Happy Economy: Public Initiatives for Regional Development
We need to sit down and talk to people and listen to what they say. All communities have their representatives that are willing to talk to the authorities. There were a lot of attempts, but they did not result in any tangible outcomes

Creative Industries for Economic Breakthrough: Regional Experiences
The main conclusion for the regions is that you are directly developing the economy by building up the creative industries in a region. The experience of Yakutia shows this. They [representatives of creative industries] ensure a return to the regional budget and participation in a human way and share money when needed. Develop creative industries. This is already a must

Cultural Development: A Key Step Towards a New Quality of Life
With every additional rouble spent on culture, crime goes down and people living in the region get more involved. This will ultimately bring us closer to the solution of the problem that we all try to solve: how to make people stay in the Far East and make sure they live here happily

Cultural Development: A Key Step Towards a New Quality of Life
We actually spend little money on culture – I mean budget spending. <...> Being happy, not being in need, and having a chance to realize your potential, because such an opportunity exists – that is exactly the quality of life that money should be spent on

Cultural Development: A Key Step Towards a New Quality of Life
Self-realization, in my opinion, is a basic human need, and, of course, it has a direct influence on improvement of the quality of human life; in the case of the Russian Far East, of course, it has a direct influence on a person’s willingness to settle here in these parts
