The Foundation was established in 2007 with the aim of facilitating the development of Russia’s economic potential, promoting its national interests, and strengthening the country’s image. One of the roles of the Foundation is to comprehensively evaluate, analyse, and cover issues on the Russian and global economic agendas. It also offers administrative services, provides promotional support for business projects and attracting investment, and helps foster social entrepreneurship and charitable initiatives.

Each year, the Foundation’s events draw participants from 208 countries and territories, with more than 15,000 media representatives working on-site at Roscongress’ various venues. The Foundation benefits from analytical and professional expertise provided by 5000 people working in Russia and abroad. In addition, it works in close cooperation with 130 economic partners; industrialists’ and entrepreneurs’ unions; and financial, trade, and business associations from 70 countries worldwide.

Biography
Philip Gudgeon is the Managing Partner of Oliver Wyman in Russia and the CIS.

Philip has over 25 years of management consulting experience, of which almost 20 in Russia. His experience has included:

Development of corporate strategies for financial holdings and corporations;

Development of business and commercial strategies, in banking, oil & gas, telecoms, manufacturing and several other sectors;

Optimisation of sales and distribution functions and networks, formats and sales network performance management;

Planning and post-merger integration, managing the realisation of synergies and the harmonisation of business processes and organisational structures;

Cost reduction in bank corporate centres and head offices;

Enterprise-wide risk management;

Process optimisation in finance, sales and supply chain functions.

Philip graduated from Cambridge University, London University and the Gregorian University in Rome and has an Executive MBA from Kellogg Graduate School of Management, USA. He is fluent in English, Russian and 3 other European languages.
