Ernesto Ferlenghi was born in Rome, Italy on March 18, 1968.
Mr. Ferlenghi received his Bachelor of Physics degree from Tor Vergata University of Rome, Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Natural Sciences.
Ernesto Ferlenghi started his career in 1995 as Project Manager at TACIS Project of the European Commission.
In 1998, Mr. Ferlenghi joined Eni, held several posts, and then in 2008 became General Manager of Eni Energhia.
From 2005 to 2014, he served as Eni Head of Representative Office in the Russian Federation and CIS.
From 2014 to September 14, 2017 - Eni Senior Advisory in Russia and CIS.
On September 15, 2017 - Eni appointed Ernesto Ferlenghi Executive Vice President market development for Russia and Central Asia.
From 2010 to 2014, he was Deputy GM and a member of the BoD of Arctikgas (at that time was a part of JV SeverEnerghia between Eni, Enel, Novatek and Gazprom Neft.)
In 2015 he was elected as a president of the Association of italian industrialists in Russia, Confindustria Russia.
Mr. Ferlenghi held several other board seats and senior advisory roles in prominent players of the energy industry including companies such as Technimont and Saipem.
He served as Honorary Consul of Italy in Russia from 2010 to 2015.
From 2011 to 2014 - Chairman of Public Joint-Stock Company Federal Grid Company of Unified Energy System (FSK EES). He is an Independent Director of FSK EES since 2008 to presence time.
In 2018 he was elected as a chairman of the Association of European Businesses Energy Committee.
On the 4th of July 2019 he was appointed by Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Gonte a co-president from Italian side of the Forum of dialogue of civil societies of Russia and Italy.
In 2008, he received the Order of the Star of Italy.
In 2012, he received a note of acknowledgement of the President of the Russian Federation for the contribution to the development of the Russian-Italian cooperation in the energy sector.
