The Roscongress Foundation – a socially oriented non-financial development institution and a major organizer of international conventions; exhibitions; and sporting, public, and cultural events.

The Foundation was established in 2007 with the aim of facilitating the development of Russia’s economic potential, promoting its national interests, and strengthening the country’s image. One of the roles of the Foundation is to comprehensively evaluate, analyse, and cover issues on the Russian and global economic agendas. It also offers administrative services, provides promotional support for business projects and attracting investment, and helps foster social entrepreneurship and charitable initiatives.

Each year, the Foundation’s events draw participants from 208 countries and territories, with more than 15,000 media representatives working on-site at Roscongress’ various venues. The Foundation benefits from analytical and professional expertise provided by 2,500 people working in Russia and abroad. In addition, it works in close cooperation with 122 economic partners; industrialists’ and entrepreneurs’ unions; and financial, trade, and business associations from 69 countries worldwide.

Biography
Born on 21 April 1971. He is a Sunni Muslim.

He received his B.Sc. in Electrical Power Engineering from Military Technical College (MTC), Cairo, Egypt in 1992.

He received his M.Sc. in Electrical Power Engineering from Military Technical College (MTC), Cairo, Egypt in 1998.

He received his Ph.D. from UMIST university, UK in 2003 and has been a professor since 2016.

He taught in the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the Military Technical College of Cairo from 1993 to 2015. From September 2013 to March 2014 he was a visiting professor at the University of Idaho in the USA.

In 2015, he joined the Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy of Egypt, and from 2015 to 2017 he worked as General Director of a project for the construction and operation of nuclear power plants in Egypt.

On 1 December 2017 he was appointed Chairman of the Board of the Nuclear Power Plants Authority.
