Born on July 7 1971 in Astrakhan to the family of engineers-geophysicists.
1993: Graduated from Ufa Oil Institute majoring in mining engineering and geophysics. Started work activity in Shelf geophysical group in Gelendzhik.
1993: Invited to the Tarasovskoye Directorate of Geophysical Works in Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Area as a geophysical engineer.
1994-1995: Geologist with the Tarkosalinskoye oil and gas exploration expedition.
1996-2001: Personnel Director, First Deputy General Director at Purneftegazgeologiya. Starting in 2000, led the development of the Khancheiskoye field and managed oil and gas exploration there.
May 2001: Appointed General Director of Khancheineftegaz.
From 2002: First Deputy Head of the Administration of Purovsky District, Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Area.
2003: Graduated from the occupational retraining institute at the Ural Academy of Public Administration specializing in State and Municipal Management.
2005: Elected Head of the Purovsky District.
2009: Included in the personnel pool of the President of the Russian Federation.
March 2010: Nominated by the Russian President and confirmed as Governor of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Area by the region’s Legislative Assembly.
12 March 2015: Appointed Acting Governor of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Area by Presidential Executive Order.
1 October 2015: Elected Governor of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Area by the region’s Legislative Assembly. The region reaches stable social and economic development in all areas and becomes of the top 5 regional leaders in the Russian Federation.
18 May 2018: Appointed Minister of Natural Resources and Environment by Presidential Executive Order.

The Roscongress Foundation is a socially oriented non-financial development institution and a major organizer of nationwide and international conventions; exhibitions; and business, public, youth, sporting, and cultural events. It was established in pursuance of a decision by the President of the Russian Federation.
The Foundation was established in 2007 with the aim of facilitating the development of Russia’s economic potential, promoting its national interests, and strengthening the country’s image. One of the roles of the Foundation is to comprehensively evaluate, analyse, and cover issues on the Russian and global economic agendas. It also offers administrative services, provides promotional support for business projects and attracting investment, helps foster social entrepreneurship and charitable initiatives.
Each year, the Foundation’s events draw participants from 208 countries and territories, with more than 15,000 media representatives working on-site at Roscongress’ various venues. The Foundation benefits from analytical and professional expertise provided by 5,000 people working in Russia and abroad.
The Foundation works alongside various UN departments and other international organizations, and is building multi-format cooperation with 180 economic partners, including industrialists’ and entrepreneurs’ unions, financial, trade, and business associations from 81 countries worldwide, and 186 Russian public organizations, federal and legislative agencies, and federal subjects.
