The Roscongress Foundation is a socially oriented non-financial development institution and a major organizer of international conventions; exhibitions; and business, public, sporting, and cultural events. It was established in pursuance of a decision by the President of the Russian Federation.

The Foundation was established in 2007 with the aim of facilitating the development of Russia’s economic potential, promoting its national interests, and strengthening the country’s image. One of the roles of the Foundation is to comprehensively evaluate, analyse, and cover issues on the Russian and global economic agendas. It also offers administrative services, provides promotional support for business projects and attracting investment, helps foster social entrepreneurship and charitable initiatives.

Each year, the Foundation’s events draw participants from 208 countries and territories, with more than 15,000 media representatives working on-site at Roscongress’ various venues. The Foundation benefits from analytical and professional expertise provided by 5,000 people working in Russia and abroad.

The Foundation works alongside various UN departments and other international organizations, and is building multi-format cooperation with 165 economic partners, including industrialists’ and entrepreneurs’ unions, financial, trade, and business associations from 76 countries worldwide, and 154 Russian public organizations, federal and legislative agencies, and federal subjects.

Born in 1964 in Dagestan. Graduated from Faculty of Journalism of Voronezh State University and Faculty of Marketing of the Russian Economic Academy named after G.V. Plekhanov.

An MBA Degree of Moscow Business School. Winner of The Diaghilev Award (2005, Perm), member of the Community Council under the Ministry of Culture (2013), the founder and the Chairman of Russian Artistic Union (together with the writer Zakhar Prilepin, 2017), confidant of V.V. Putin during election campaign (2018). Eduard Boyakov created several theatres: «Practika», «Polittheatre» (Moscow), «Scena-Molot/Stage-Hammer» (Perm); documentary theatre project «Chelovek.doc», charity project «Аrt-Stroika».Eduard Boyakov produced and directed more than 40 performances in Mariinsky Theatre, Bolshoi Theatre, Moscow Art Theatre named after Chekhov, Meyerhold Centre, «Practika» theatre and others. He participated in co- productions in the Metropolitan Opera, Lincoln Centre, The Barbican, London Philharmonic Orchestra, Holland Park Opera Festival as well as in a unique for Russia project – grandiose show «Prisoners of the Caucasus» in Roza Hutor resort in the Olympic mountain village (2016), Easter concert of the «Sretensky Monastery Choir» (2016) and others. Currently Eduard Boyakov is considered the best festival producers in the country. It was his idea to create the national theatre festival «Golden Mask», the festival of contemporary play «New Drama» (principal Russian drama festival), Moscow Easter Festival (together with Valery Gergiyev), the biggest international festival for children in Russia «The Long Recess», and the annual festival «Тradition» in Zaharovo estate near Moscow (together with Zakhar Prilepin). Eduard Boyakov is the author of the concept of artistic and tourist cluster «Koktebel-Park» (Crimea, 2017), it was commissioned by the Corporation of the Development of Crimea and presented at Yalta Economic Forum (cumulative investment – 4 billion roubles), the concept of pavilion «Cultprosvet» in VDNH (former pavilion «Culture»). Eduard Boyakov – the rector of Voronezh State Art Academy (2013-2015), the author of the research on cultural environment and politics of Voronezh region «Voronezh Pulse» (2013). In March 2014 Eduard Boyakov was one of the first to sign the letter of artistic community in support of the President of Russia’s position on Ukraine and Crimea. As the confidant of the President, Eduard Boyakov took an active part in the preparation and execution of the presidential election campaign in March 2018 –participating in the meetings and official radio and central/regional TV debates. At present Eduard Boyakov appears in the media (Channel One, newspaper «Izvestia», and others.) as a professional and an expert in the social and cultural development of Russia. Since December 2018 occupies the position of Artistic Director of Gorky Moscow Art Theatre.
