Ulrich Benterbusch began his career at Germany’s Federal Ministry of Economics (BMWi).
In 2002, he joined the Office of the German Chancellor and, from 2003, headed the Department of Bilateral Economic Relations, Foreign Trade, WTO and G8.
From 2009 to 2013, Ulrich Benterbusch was the Director of the Office of Global Energy Policy at the International Energy Agency (IEA). In this role, he was responsible for international cooperation projects, the IEA energy technology network and many other projects.
He has published numerous articles and studies on economic structural policy.
Ulrich Benterbusch has given many presentations on energy policy topics at international symposia and conferences.
