The Role of the SCO in a Changing World
To show that the ideals of friendship, cooperation, mutual trust, mutual respect are still alive and have a future. Russia sees the SCO as a unique opportunity to strengthen security and cooperation, both in our region and more broadly

The Role of the SCO in a Changing World
Economic cooperation is moving to the forefront more and more. Here we have things to do, because the topic is very important. Virtually all SCO member states demand that economic issues play a more important role. And most importantly, the effect of this cooperation should be greater... Integration projects should play a key role on the economic agenda in our Eurasian space. For the Russian Federation, for the members of the Eurasian Economic Union, this is, first of all, the EAEU

The Role of the SCO in a Changing World
We are moving towards a multipolar world. This transformation is now going through such an acute stage, the world is going through serious trials. But the prospects are quite clear: the changing world is a future multipolar world. And in this regard, the SCO can serve as a kind of symbol of this multipolarity... The main goal of the SCO is to strengthen mutual trust, friendship and good-neighborly relations between states

Strategic Technology Alliances: A New Imperative for Business Cooperation in Eurasia
We are now facing the task set by Russian President Vladimir Putin – shaping the great Eurasian partnership. The concept under development provides for the digital dimension of the greater Eurasia. Not everything is easy about it. On the one hand, we need to develop the digital infrastructure of this space. On the other hand, we need to align the digital policy and standards in this space. Moreover, we believe that all these things need to be based on the Eurasian Economic Union that is on the rise but faces certain problems and obstacles. Yet they are growing pains. Our space has such strong players as China, India, and some countries of the South-East Asia. They can become our partners, while being our competition. In this sense, the great Eurasian partnership can help us resolve this dichotomy

Prospects for Global Education in a Post-Pandemic World
We’re witnessing a decline in the level of education of the population. On both a global scale and in our own economies, that’s a very dangerous phenomenon. I’m not saying anything new here, but I simply wanted to draw your attention to the fact that uneducated young people are a breeding ground for manipulation, for the propagation of various destructive ideological trends. That’s why the work we’re doing today is extremely important

Prospects for Global Education in a Post-Pandemic World
The fabric of international communication is being destroyed before our very eyes. That’s regrettable, to put it mildly. We’re seeing universities and colleges stop communicating with one another and stop sharing experiences, and we’re seeing an end to reciprocal invitations to students and teachers. We need to put a stop to that, the sooner the better. This is mainly affecting our Western interactions, thankfully our Asia–Pacific interactions are less affected

New Time for Diplomacy
I don't know, perhaps it sounds too ambitious, but maybe we need some kind of global agreement, in the United Nations or on some other platform. Or just an open document which all politicians ‘of good will’ will sign up to, in which to say ‘yes, this moment in the history of mankind did happen, but we are turning the page and starting to live afresh

New Time for Diplomacy
For diplomatic missions, it is vital to create favourable conditions for diplomats’ work and daily lives, diplomats’ movement, and their communication with representatives of government bodies, with the press, and with people. Only then will it work, which will mean that we will have the opportunity, in the end, to agree on something

New Time for Diplomacy
In this new time, diplomacy is not showing itself in its best form. Look at what is happening: in many countries, diplomats refuse to communicate with each other, do not respond to notes or to letters, restrict communication by diplomatic representatives with the media, block embassies’ bank accounts, and expropriate diplomatic property. Well, as you will appreciate, it is very difficult to conduct diplomacy in such conditions. And this is at a time when our world is in an acute phase in the transformation of international relations

New Time for Diplomacy
Without strengthening the supporting pillars of diplomacy, meaning the norms and principles of international law, without a return to normal diplomatic communication, it will be very difficult for us to come to agreements in this new world, about this new time, about how we will live. And for this to happen, and this has been known for centuries, diplomacy is needed and diplomats are needed who, despite all the severity of tensions, sit down at the table, start talking, and are able to negotiate

The Greater Eurasian Partnership: Pathways to Economic Development
Interaction between regional organizations is an important track for 'tightening' and 'stitching together' Greater Eurasia. <...> We are talking primarily about interaction between the Eurasian Economic Union, the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation, and the ASEAN. But we should not forget that there is a number of organizations in our space that, I am sure, will eventually join this project. These include, of course, the Commonwealth of Independent States and the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia. There is such an important organization as the Black Sea Economic Cooperation. It is now in a frozen state, I think everyone understands why, but I think the time is not far off when this organization will start working again and become our ally. There is the Organization of Turkic Speaking States, and it seems to me that we should involve it in this project as well, because Turkey and the Central Asian states, as we have just seen, objectively benefit from a unified, seamless Greater Eurasia. In South Asia, there is the SAARC [South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation, – Ed.], which also has integration processes at the sub-regional level and would be interested in closer cooperation with us through India and Pakistan

The Value and Values of the Greater Eurasian Partnership
We are in a difficult spot right now. The pandemic of the new coronavirus infection has driven back many Eurasian economies and we have not entirely conquered the infection yet. I hope that will happen in the very near future. We will feel the negative impact of COVID-19 on the economies of our countries for a long time to come

We also hope very much that the leaders of European countries and European companies will be more and more interested in the companies and ideas of the Greater Eurasian Partnership and that sooner or later they will become involved in this important geopolitical, geo-economical, and constructive process. First of all, the Greater Eurasia must prove that the concept is an effective solution to present-day problems
