The Foundation was established in 2007 with the aim of facilitating the development of Russia’s economic potential, promoting its national interests, and strengthening the country’s image. One of the roles of the Foundation is to comprehensively evaluate, analyse, and cover issues on the Russian and global economic agendas. It also offers administrative services, provides promotional support for business projects and attracting investment, and helps foster social entrepreneurship and charitable initiatives.

Each year, the Foundation’s events draw participants from 208 countries and territories, with more than 15,000 media representatives working on-site at Roscongress’ various venues. The Foundation benefits from analytical and professional expertise provided by 5000 people working in Russia and abroad. In addition, it works in close cooperation with 126 economic partners; industrialists’ and entrepreneurs’ unions; and financial, trade, and business associations from 69 countries worldwide.

Biography
Laurent-Pierre Baculard is a partner and director in the Paris office of Bain & Company, the global management consulting firm. He leads the firm's Digital Transformations practice in EMEA. He joined Bain in 2002 and has since managed more than 150 major projects.

Laurent-Pierre's digital experience covers strategic transformation roadmap development, digital customer experience, digital disruption strategies, operations improvement, big data, and technology and people transformations for clients in the consumer products, telecom, hospitality and travel, services and utilities and private equity industries. Laurent-Pierre led an industry career for four years at France Telecom Mobiles, known as Orange, which he joined in 1992 to lead their distribution channels division in Paris. He then led several projects in the telecom and tech industries at a different consulting firm before joining Bain. Laurent-Pierre graduated from ESSEC Business School in Paris in 1989.
