Georges left the DRC as a 12 year old to pursue his education in South Africa, the US and then the UK. He holds a B.sc in Agricultural Engineering from UTA and an LLB from University College London. He worked in London as a Commodity Trader specialized in Carbon Finance at Cantor Carbon a subsidiary of Cantor Fitzgerald.
In 2007, after the first democratic election since 1960 where held in the DRC, he came back to the country his birth to work as an advisor for Energy and Environment for the Governor of Kinshasa. There he developed the first plastic recycling plant in the City of Kinshasa as well as the first landfill in the country with the help of the European Union.
In 2009, he founded WESD CAPITAL SARL a project developer focusing on environmental finance, energy and mining.
From December 2014 to December 2016 Georges served as the Chief of Staff of the DRC Minister of Industry.
From 2017 to 2019, Georges worked as head of Africa for NOVO HOLDING BELGIUM a private equity fund based in Brussels, Belgium.
Since 2019, he has been acting as the Managing Director of MAXIMUS MINING SARL a company focusing on small scale copper/cobalt mining in Lualaba Province and operating MIBA’s world class diamond mine in Kasai Oriental.
