The Foundation was established in 2007 with the aim of facilitating the development of Russia’s economic potential, promoting its national interests, and strengthening the country’s image. One of the roles of the Foundation is to comprehensively evaluate, analyse, and cover issues on the Russian and global economic agendas. It also offers administrative services, provides promotional support for business projects and attracting investment, and helps foster social entrepreneurship and charitable initiatives.

Each year, the Foundation’s events draw participants from 208 countries and territories, with more than 15,000 media representatives working on-site at Roscongress’ various venues. The Foundation benefits from analytical and professional expertise provided by 2,500 people working in Russia and abroad. In addition, it works in close cooperation with 122 economic partners; industrialists’ and entrepreneurs’ unions; and financial, trade, and business associations from 69 countries worldwide.

Biography
I am an admitted advocate of the High Court of South Africa since 2011 and a member of the Johannesburg Bar since 2012. Prior to being called to the Bar I worked in corporate environment for local and international companies (SAB – Packaging Engineer and SAAB - CEO of SAAB Grintek) at executive and strategic level for over 16 years. I have experience in business processes, governance and legal framework for both the private and public sectors. In support of my hands on experience is my academic achievement. I hold three Masters Degrees in Electromechanical Engineering, Engineering Management (Projects, Contract Management, Operations and Product development) and Packaging Technology. Further, I hold an MBA and LLB degrees. I have completed courses in mediation and arbitration in Domestic and International arbitration in Commercial and Construction disputes.

I am a member of the Management Committee of the Arbitration Foundation of Southern Africa “AFSA”. I am also a member of the Guiding Committee of China Africa Joint Arbitration Centre, “CAJAC”. I am in the panel of arbitrators of Arbitration Foundation of Southern Africa (Commercial and construction arbitration), Association of Arbitrators Southern Africa (Construction Arbitration) and Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, UK. I am also a member of the International Institute of Space Law.

I am member of the Legal Practice Council from 1 November 2018 for a period of three years. I am member of the BRICS Legal Forum Steering committee. I am also a member of the Johannesburg society of Advocates. I am also a member of the Johannesburg Society of Advocates Bar Council for 2019 and have served as a Bar Council member for the last two periods, namely 2017 and 2018.

My practice is currently general in nature, however, has a strong focus on commercial litigation, contract law, tax, competition, intellectual property law construction law and alternative dispute resolution (in particular, mediation, adjudication, arbitration in investment, commercial and construction fields.

I am a member of the Duma Nokwe Group, with my chambers at Fountain Chambers, Sandown Village Office Park, Corner Gwen Lane and 86 Maude Street, Sandton, Republic of South Africa.
