The Foundation was established in 2007 with the aim of facilitating the development of Russia’s economic potential, promoting its national interests, and strengthening the country’s image. One of the roles of the Foundation is to comprehensively evaluate, analyse, and cover issues on the Russian and global economic agendas. It also offers administrative services, provides promotional support for business projects and attracting investment, and helps foster social entrepreneurship and charitable initiatives.

Each year, the Foundation’s events draw participants from 208 countries and territories, with more than 15,000 media representatives working on-site at Roscongress’ various venues. The Foundation benefits from analytical and professional expertise provided by 5000 people working in Russia and abroad. In addition, it works in close cooperation with 130 economic partners; industrialists’ and entrepreneurs’ unions; and financial, trade, and business associations from 70 countries worldwide.

Biography
Badr Al-Olama is the Director of Aerospace at Mubadala Investment Company, which invests in high-tech manufacturing and integrated industrial services. Its current portfolio includes Strata Manufacturing PJSC (Strata), Turbine Services and Solutions (TS&S) and Sanad Aero Solutions (Sanad). As the former Chief Executive of Strata, Badr was instrumental in positioning the aerostructure business as a global tier-one supplier to both Airbus and Boeing, forging partnerships with leading Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), and empowering young Emiratis to make up over half of Strata’s workforce. Badr has also played a key advisory role in the strategic development of Nibras Al Ain Aerospace Park, a joint initiative between Mubadala and Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC), which aims to establish a sustainable aerospace ecosystem in Abu Dhabi and the United Arab Emirates. As the previous President of the Harvard Club of the UAE and Chairman of a leading childcare company in the region - Bidayaat, Badr now serves as Chairman of Strata, board member of the UAE Space Agency, and a member of the UAE Ministerial Council on the fourth industrial revolution. Nominated as a Young Global Leader for the Middle East and North Africa region by the World Economic Forum, Badr heads the organizing committee for the world's first Global Manufacturing and Industrialisation Summit (GMIS), a joint initiative between the UAE Government and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) that aims to transform and shape the future of manufacturing.

Badr started his career as an advocate and legal consultant at Habib Al-Mulla & Company, currently known as Baker & McKenzie Habib Al-Mulla. He holds a bachelor's degree in Shari’a and Law from UAE University (2002), and an LL.M degree from Harvard Law School (2005).
