Creating a Circular Economy in Russia: How Will the Environmental Agenda Impact Production and Consumption?
3 June 2021
15:00—16:15

Mankind’s impact on the environment is a fundamental global issue, and the World Bank has estimated that by 2050, the amount of human waste produced will double. Russia has set a number of ambitious targets to tackle this issue. By 2030, all waste must be sent for sorting, and ground disposal of household waste must be cut in half. In order to meet the objectives set by the President, a new sector will have to be built, and a transition to a circular economy will need to be enacted. What needs to be done to achieve this ambitious agenda?
