ASEZs in the Russian Far East and the Free Port of Vladivostok have become attractive not only to major investors but also to smaller companies and even individual entrepreneurs. More than 80 projects representing investments from RUB 1 million to RUB 60 million have been officially announced. In order to foster small business development in the Russian Far East, a special mechanism offering cheaper credit to small and medium-sized enterprises has been introduced in the macro-region. What are the prerequisites to achieving large-scale growth in the SME segment in ASEZs and the Free Port of Vladivostok?
