The Best of Russia photo exhibition opened in the Youth Photo Centre on 14 October as part of the 19th World Festival of Youth and Students. The exhibition includes the best images from all corners of the country showcased in the last decade.
The photography exhibition is designed to highlight Russia’s beauty and natural resources, and to introduce our nation to young people from all over the world.
What makes the Best of Russia project so unique is that anyone, regardless of skill level, can send in an entry – professionals and beginners alike. The only condition is that every photo must be taken in Russia.
The project includes nominations in 5 categories: Nature; Architecture; People, Events, and Daily Life; Style; and Special Subject.
Best of Russia, currently the largest Russian photography project, was organized in 2008 by the Winzavod Centre for Contemporary Art with support of the Ministry of Culture of Russia.
