President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin has sent his personal greetings to participants of the 12th Eurasian Economic Forum, which is taking place on 2425 October in Verona.
The telegram, published on the website of the Kremlin, highlighted the importance of the event, which every year brings together prominent politicians and entrepreneurs, diplomats, scientists, experts, and journalists from around the world. The President drew attention to the way it has facilitated meaningful discussions on a wide variety of aspects related to economic cooperation in Eurasia.
«The theme of this years forum is dedicated to the unifying role that the business community has been tasked with fulfilling on this vast territory, stretching from the Atlantic to the Pacific. You are to examine opportunities to secure the effective development of Eurasia a continent which is home to more than 70% of the worlds population. You will assess the potential to expand trade, economic ties, and investment; to develop transport, utilities, and energy infrastructure; to introduce advanced technology; and to implement environmental initiatives,» Putin said.
The President also used his greeting to underscore Russias openness to work constructively in the aforementioned areas, as well as its willingness to strengthen partnership with all interested nations, to the benefit of all involved.
In addition, he expressed his hope that the discussions at the Forum would be substantive and productive, and help foster cooperation between the countries and peoples of Eurasia across a wide range of areas.
