Russian Energy Week 2021 Organizing Committee Holds Meeting in Moscow

The Organizing Committee of the Russian Energy Week 2021 International Forum held its meeting in Moscow under the chairmanship of Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak. The meeting was attended by representatives of the federal authorities, energy companies, and industry communities.

Opening the meeting, Novak announced the dates of the Forum. REW 2021 will be held on 1315 October 2021 at the Manezh Central Exhibition Hall in Moscow in a hybrid format — the main events of the Forum programme will be held on 13 and on 14 October. Youth Day will take place on 15 October.

«In addition to the business programme, there will be an exhibition of major energy companies, some of which have already taken initiatives to organize their booths at the Forum,» Novak said.

«The planned agenda of REW 2021 is widely popular among the professional community and attracts the attention of heads of state, CEOs of companies, and leading industry experts. The Forum is another opportunity to continue positioning our country as a global energy power,» he said.

During the meeting, Adviser to the Russian President and Executive Secretary of the REW 2021 Organizing Committee Anton Kobyakov noted that the Forum’s events would be held in compliance with all epidemiological safety measures. The venue will adhere to the requirements of the Russian Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing (Rospotrebnadzor) and the World Health Organization. «Thanks to the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum that took place in June this year, we gained experience in how to hold major congress and exhibition events in the new epidemiological conditions with the participation of the head of state, CEOs of Russian and international companies, foreign officials, and leading representatives of the business, expert, and media communities,» Kobyakov said.

The REW 2021 business programme will include a number of sessions on the development of the electric power, oil and gas, chemical, gas, and coal industries as well as events dedicated to import substitution, digital transformation, energy transition, climate issues, and safety issues at fuel and energy facilities.

In addition to the sessions, which will take place in a hybrid format, REW 2021 will host the traditional awards ceremony for the winners of the Global Energy Prize. Several working meetings will also be held.

The Forum is being organized by the Russian Ministry of Energy, the Roscongress Foundation, and the Moscow Government.
