Anton Kobyakov, Advisor to the President of the Russian Federation, met with Kazem Jalali, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Russian Federation, in Moscow.
«Today, special conditions are emerging for a serious expansion of bilateral cooperation. The process of Irans admission to the SCO continues. The next step will be the signing of a Memorandum on Irans commitments to membership in the SCO within the framework of the SCO Council of Heads of State on September 15-16 in Samarkand. In accordance with this document, Tehran will have the opportunity to begin joining the fundamental SCO documents, primarily the SCO Charter, as well as participate in meetings of all SCO working bodies,» noted Anton Kobyakov.
Relations between Iran and the EAEU are developing as provided by their temporary agreement. The Russian party is actively working to ensure a long-term basis a free trade zone between Iran and the EAEU.

Within the framework of the last St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, for the first time in the history of the SPIEF, the Russia-Iran business dialogue was organized jointly.
The main theme of EEF 2022 is The Path to a Multipolar World. It aims to expand multilateral cooperation among countries of Asia Pacific primarily and to search for new areas of socio-economic development of the Far East.
