Moscow
hosted the 3rd Regional Social Innovations Forum in June 2019, which
served as a major platform for the discussion of social problems and the
presentation of breakthrough technologies for the innovative development of the
social sector and the best social practices in Russias regions. Almost 180
leading experts from Russia, Europe, the United States, and Asia delivered
speeches over the course of 65 discussions and open lectures. Some 35,000
guests and participants were involved in the Forums exhibition and business
programme.
In 2020,
Yelena Marinina, Deputy CEO of the Roscongress Foundation and Director of the
Roscongress Foundations social platform, the Innosocium Foundation, joined the
Organizing Committee of the 4th Regional Social Innovations Forum,
which is headed by Chairwoman of the Russian Federation Council Valentina Matviyenko
and Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin. The members of the Organizing Committee
include representatives of business and government agencies, such as: Russian
Minister of Health Mikhail Murashko, Russian Deputy Minister of Industry and
Trade Gulnaz Kadyrova, Russian Pension Fund Chairman of the Board Maxim Topilin,
and Sberbank President and Chairman of the Board German Gref, among others.
The
Forum culminated with final recommendations to the Federal Assembly, the
Russian Government, and all of Russias regions. «Participating in preparations
for such a large-scale and representative Forum is a great honour, but it is
also an acknowledgment of the increasing role that the Innosocium Foundation is
starting to play in the states social agenda», Marinina said. «We have already
accumulated vast experience in promising and effective practices, the Foundation
has serious international clout, and it is essential for us to be able to utilize
this potential at various levels and make it accessible to specialists and concerned
parties in all corners of Russia».
The Roscongress Foundation is a socially oriented non-financial development institution and a major organizer of nationwide and international conventions; exhibitions; and business, public, youth, sporting, and cultural events. It was established in pursuance of a decision by the President of the Russian Federation.
The Foundation was established in 2007 with the aim of facilitating the development of Russia’s economic potential, promoting its national interests, and strengthening the country’s image. One of the roles of the Foundation is to comprehensively evaluate, analyse, and cover issues on the Russian and global economic agendas. It also offers administrative services, provides promotional support for business projects and attracting investment, helps foster social entrepreneurship and charitable initiatives.
Each year, the Foundation’s events draw participants from 208 countries and territories, with more than 15,000 media representatives working on-site at Roscongress’ various venues. The Foundation benefits from analytical and professional expertise provided by 5,000 people working in Russia and abroad.
The Foundation works alongside various UN departments and other international organizations, and is building multi-format cooperation with 173 economic partners, including industrialists’ and entrepreneurs’ unions, financial, trade, and business associations from 78 countries worldwide, and 179 Russian public organizations, federal and legislative agencies, and federal subjects.
