The Foundation was established in 2007 with the aim of facilitating the development of Russia’s economic potential, promoting its national interests, and strengthening the country’s image. One of the roles of the Foundation is to comprehensively evaluate, analyse, and cover issues on the Russian and global economic agendas. It also offers administrative services, provides promotional support for business projects and attracting investment, and helps foster social entrepreneurship and charitable initiatives.

Each year, the Foundation’s events draw participants from 208 countries and territories, with more than 15,000 media representatives working on-site at Roscongress’ various venues. The Foundation benefits from analytical and professional expertise provided by 5000 people working in Russia and abroad. In addition, it works in close cooperation with 126 economic partners; industrialists’ and entrepreneurs’ unions; and financial, trade, and business associations from 69 countries worldwide.

Roscongress Foundation and MKR Media LLC Sign Cooperation Agreement

During the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, the Roscongress Foundation and MKR Media LLC signed an agreement of media cooperation. As part of the agreement, MKR Media LLC is granted the status of Roscongress Foundation media partner; it also presupposes the exchange of media content and the creation of custom segments, columns, interviews, and other video materials at the events hosted by the Roscongress Foundation.

MKR Media LLC’s flagship project is the international media network TV BRICS. MKR Media LLC’s General Director Anna Mileikova highlighted the global goals and objectives of TV BRICS: «We strive to create relevant and reliable content for our spectators in the five largest countries in the world. We joined forces with the Roscongress Foundation and will introduce our audience to economic achievements, investment programmes, and the rest of the media agenda straight from the centre of one of the country’s and world’s largest forums.»

With the help of TV BRICS, a series of video interviews were held with SPIEF 2019 participants. The video materials are available in the Expert Opinion section of the ROSCONGRESS.ORG Information and Analytical System and on the official site of the TV BRICS international media network.

The first stars of the interview series were EY’s CIS Managing Partner Alexander Ivlev, Conoscere Eurasia Association President and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Banca Intesa Antonio Fallico, Advisor to the Prime Minister of the Hellenic Republic Dimitrios Velanis, Finnish-Russian Chamber of Commerce CEO Jaana Rekolainen, and participants of the Roscongress Friends of Cities International Project.

Russian and international experts shared their opinions on a wide variety of issues — from technology, breakthroughs, and financing opportunities to international relations and the effect of Brexit on investor mood.

«The Roscongress Foundation pays a lot of attention to modern ways to interact with audiences. And, of course, short and informative video interviews are a very interesting and popular format that we will continue to develop,» noted Roscongress Foundation CEO Alexander Stuglev.
