The Roscongress Foundation is a socially oriented non-financial development institution and a major organizer of international conventions; exhibitions; and business, public, sporting, and cultural events. It was established in pursuance of a decision by the President of the Russian Federation.

The Foundation was established in 2007 with the aim of facilitating the development of Russia’s economic potential, promoting its national interests, and strengthening the country’s image. One of the roles of the Foundation is to comprehensively evaluate, analyse, and cover issues on the Russian and global economic agendas. It also offers administrative services, provides promotional support for business projects and attracting investment, and helps foster social entrepreneurship and charitable initiatives.

Each year, the Foundation’s events draw participants from 208 countries and territories, with more than 15,000 media representatives working on-site at Roscongress’ various venues. The Foundation benefits from analytical and professional expertise provided by 5000 people working in Russia and abroad. In addition, it works in close cooperation with 160 economic partners; industrialists’ and entrepreneurs’ unions; and financial, trade, and business associations from 75 countries worldwide.

The Global Manufacturing & Industrialisation Summit (GMIS 2019) Recruits Volunteers

The Global Manufacturing & Industrialisation Summit (GMIS 2019) recruits volunteers in Yekaterinburg. More than 300 volunteers are to participate in the event.

Volunteers will administer the business and cultural programme halls, welcome and see off guests of the Summit, assist participants at the accreditation stands, offer help and support to visitors, including site navigation, transportation and catering.

The city of Yekaterinburg is to host GMIS 2019 on 9–11 July. The theme of the 2019 Summit in Russia will be ‘nature-like technologies’, otherwise known as biomimetic design and bionics. GMIS 2019 will promote the importance of utilizing strategies and designs created by nature to bring innovative solutions and sustainable design together.

The announcement was made at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. During the plenary session, the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin outlined a strategic task to create high-performance manufacturing sector aimed at expanding the export of competitive Russian products. The President pointed out that in this regard hosting GMIS 2019 in Yekaterinburg becomes a signature event.

«I invite the audience to attend the second edition of the Global Manufacturing & Industrialisation summit which will be held in the Ural region in the city of Yekaterinburg,» said President Putin.
